MC29 Upgrade
« on: March 18, 2022, 09:28:40 am »

I purchased the MC29 back when it was an advanced purchase...meaning I got MC28 which is supposed to upgrade to MC29. Well I've been going to "up grade channels" and it still shows my MC28 as the latest without advancing me to MC29. I look and MC29 is already available. I made the purchase on 2-13.
What do I need to do to get MC29?

Thanking in advance!

You have to manually download and install Media Center 29. Major versions of Media Center are standalone, separate installs with their own installations and settings. They don't upgrade from one major Media Center version to another one (e.g. Media Center 28 to Media Center 29) thus to upgrade major versions it has to be manually done. Checking for updates in Media Center only applies to the version you're currently running. For example, checking for updates in Media Center 28 only checks for Media Center 28 updates.

Latest build of Media Center 29 can be found here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,132500.0.html
