Cover art save folder
« on: May 07, 2022, 09:31:01 am »

hello all,
i'm a MC user from years ago returning to MC29 on Ubuntu.
i love the speed, stability and get-from-internet of album cover art.
but i am not sure of how to set the options to save it into the album folder
at the server, not local to MC29.

here's my option setting:
File Location/Cover Art/Audio - in the same folder as the file

1) i don't see the file on the server, just the local ../.jriver/Media Center 29/Cover Art
2) with old MC25, i did see Folder.jpg on the server. is there a way to specify save-as file name?

thank you for your help...

ok, i believe i've found the answer.
my library was MinimServer; apparently MC does not update the server files in this case.
so, i am now using a new library (which imports from the NAS folder) and in this case,
MC is writing Folder.jpg to the server. good!

as for Folder.jpg file name, i haven't seen any way to specify it.
MC could use some documentation on these issues or at least make the Options
more clear to the neophyte.

The MinimServer is a DLNA server, it can't be updated other than by changing the files yourself on its filesystem.

As for cover art:
