Guide does not fully update

Hi, I don't understand why my tv guide never completely updates.
The tv programs are all present in the xml file and jriver 28 is set every day to update the xml file but unfortunately as you can see in the images in some channels there is no program information available, so I am forced to manually update the guide.
In this way I lose the recordings ...

What is the difference between the two images?  I see that the first one has some "Guide info not available" entries but the second one does not.  Are they from different computers?

so I am forced to manually update the guide.

Do you mean running "Load Program Guide..." manually in MC?  And that retrieves the missing information?

In this way I lose the recordings ...

How?

Are the missing information all on certain channels?  Or just randomly missing?

1)  no, they are the images of the same pc, the other programs appeared only after updating the guide manually

2)  mc is set to update the guide every day, but afterwards I notice that there are no programs and I have to repeat the update manually

3)  They are missing casually

This is strange as background updating and manual updating both execute the same code of loading a specified xml file.

I can think of the following possibility:

Timing.  Do you update the xml file first, then let MC import the data?  If so, perhaps you can schedule xml file update earlier and MC loading of it later to make sure the xml file is fully updated before MC tries to use it.

The time difference between the xml file update and the mc update is 15 minutes.
I'll try to move it 1 hour and see if it gets better

Hi, I haven't moved the execution time between updating the xml file and the mc tv guide, however, as you can see from the images, the mc guide is still not complete despite the 15 minute delay.
Only after the manual update is it complete and this is very annoying.

Did you have MC logging on?  If so please share it with me (covering the guide loading events in MC).

Here is the Wiki article on logging.

Before your next guide update time, go to Help > Logging..., and make sure "Output to a log file" checkbox is check.  Click Done.

After guide update finishes, verify that you have issues, i.e. some "Programming info not available" entries show up.  Then go back to Help > Logging..., and click "Report problem...".  A zip file will be saved on your desktop.  Share that zip file with me.

I still have not found any clues yet.  In the sample guide.xml file, you get 7 day worth of programs.  In the particular example you posted, channel 8 TV8 HD had trouble in time slot June 28, 21:30 - 23:20.  Did that time slot have valid program info before that particular automatic scan?  In other words, did the previous day's scan produce good information, but then it was messed up by a later scan?

Automatic double update in that manner is not possible as it is coded to update periodically.

I would like to find out whether this is related to auto-update vs. manual update.  Maybe you can configure it to update every 4 hours just for a few days as a test, and see if you still need to do manual update.

Each day MC is scheduled to update from an xml file.  I tried that for a couple of days and have not seen entries missing.  On the other hand, when I originally set it up, with no guide data to start with, I did see a few missing entries after the first couple of updates, regardless of the mode of operation (automatic background update, or manual update with GUI). 

So, do you by any chance set up MC to clear all existing entries before loading new data daily?

Hi, I'm sorry also with mc 29 I still have the same problem of the guide, please watch the video I put in the google drive.
I did some tests this morning, I updated the xml file manually, then the mc guide and as you can see in the video was not complete, so I ran the update again.

I believe I caught the bug.  Please try MC29 build 71 or higher when it is released in a few days.
