A little thing. Ive noticed in your Modern Dark: Dark Edition skin (quite literally little). There is pretty much exactly one pixel in the top left of the window that ends up being gray / white. On most setups you are gonna have a hard time seeing it except you screenshot it and zoom in, because you have so many pixels. If you donīt have that many pixels and have a dark background you do notice it easily as seen in the screenshot below. Though Im not sure it's just a matter of painting a pixel black. As it technically also exists in the light editions of said skin. It's just harder to notice there.

After playing around with all possible settings for jrvr, I don't seem to be able to solve the following problem: when hardware acceleration is enabled, all kinds of video files are being played back slower and the sound is out of sync. No frames are dropped. Whithout hardware acceleration everything is fine (with a few frame drops). The system is a linux mint 20.3 (ubuntu focal based) with an Intel HD Graphics 605 (integrated) with the nonfree drivers from intel and vaapi is configured and running: playing a file with mpv and hardware acceleration is working fine and intel_gpu_top shows around 20% of gpu video usage, whereas playing the same file with mc hits at most 2-3%. Please let me know what kind of logs/info I should supply to help with this issue.

I don't know if this bug is relevant (this mint/ubuntu version is affected):

Configuring auto-import with applying tags imports video files as "Documents".

This is probably an older bug (had seen it with some 28v before).
Thank you for this great product!

Thanks!
Tags shouldn't affect the import.
What is the format of the files you are trying to import and what tags are you applying?

Have posted this a couple of versions before, but I sadly didn't get to check/respond before the thread was locked, sorry!

It's independent of the video type (I've got a number of video files in my library and they all get imported as documents). The applied tags are media sub-types "movies" and "tv shows". But if I remember correctly from what was happening the previous time with v28, I had tried different subtypes with the same result.

Thank you!

Update: forcing the i965 driver makes video playback at a normal speed!

The problem is still not resolved: intel_gpu_top shows Video usage at ca 11% and Render/3D at 100%, whereas using mpv yields Video usage of ca 25% and Render/3D at 73%. Both were tested in fullscreen mode.

Sorry for the multiple posts!

Came across the following:
  • enabling ssl in the media server, does not forbid insecure connection.
  • trying to connect with ssl throws an "ssl3_read_n:unexpected eof while reading" error.

Thank you again for this great product!
