I use the jriver remote on my iPhone. Sometimes I get a little carried away with the volume levels on my system and my neighbors get a little upset.

Can I get my neighbor to download the JRiver app and then link it to my system?  Will they need to be on the same network as me as well?  So I assume that they will need my wifi password.

Assuming you trust your neighbor, in theory you could go into MC's Settings > Media Network and enable authentication while creating an account to use as your admin account and then enable the read only account. Then you can give your neighbor the access key and the readonly username and password and that *should* allow them to adjust volume without making changes to the library (which requires admin access) using Gizmo, JRemote, MO 4Media, Panel, etc.

What do I need to get my neighbor to download, what exactly do I need to do in my MC and how do I set up my neighbors app so that they can adjust the volume? Also do I need to give them access to my wifi as well?

When I go to MC settings and Media Network, I  see read only authentication, when I click the check box, I get asked to enter the credential.

Whose credentials do i enter? Mine? and on which machine?  I have MC on two machines and they both have the same library with the same remote control code.
or do I need to enter the credentials of my neighbor???

This is with read only authentication set to everyone.

If I change this to Username and password I still have to enter a username and password.

Can I not just get my neighbor to download the app and then give them the Access Key??
