« on: December 15, 2022, 04:11:14 pm »

I use ubunto (But I beklive it was the same on Windows some years back).
I  imported all my music files fron my Qnap  NAS yesterday and the files played just fine all of them.
But today iI get a message that the player cant find the music file none of them.
I now there was a solution  to this but I cant remember how....

How do you mount your QNAP on the machine running MC? Is the QNAP media folder still accessible from that machine?
Does MC still int to the same folder on the QNAP as it did when it was still working?

I imported a single folder from my Qnap, maybe it is the session that times out? is there any where to set a username and password?

You'll need to add your NAS mount to the /etc/fstab file if you want to to be mounted at every boot.

These links will probably help on your journey...

https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/178187/how-to-edit-etc-fstab-properly-for-network-drive
https://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu-linux-tips/automatically-mount-network-shares-on-linux/

It'll be different depending if you're using NFS, SMB, or whatever other protocol you prefer.
