Get Movies/TV Info - MPAA Rating
« on: December 01, 2022, 12:47:30 pm »

Hi,
Just wondering if there is a way to use Get Movies & TV Info to capture the MPAA rating.

I have some kids movies that I only want to show kids trailers for.  Right now I have to manually set this up, but if I could leverage the MPAA rating, that would be helpful.

Once the MPAA is populated, I think I can use a calculated library field to tell it what trailer type to play when using Showtime.

You can use ZRatings to fetch the MPAA rating for all your movies in one go.

This is the answer.
ZRatings if you're only in the JRiver ecosystem.
If you need your metadata to work elsewhere, generate .nfos using other software. I rely on IMDB for my metadata as it's more comprehensive than TMDB.

ZRatings works great.  Spend a little time with it on a movie or two to understand how it works and you'll be fine from there.
