Copy and Paste Tags not working for the "Rating+" tag

The command "Paste tags" (command + shift + v) does not paste the "Rating+" tag. The popup window that opens shows all the tags that can be selected, but the "Rating+" tag is not among them, although the track from which the tags were copied did include that tag. See the screenshot attached for an example: although the source track has a non-empty "Rating+" field, this field is not listed in the 'Paste tags' window.

Is it a calculated field?
What is the field 'Name' and 'Edit type' in the field's definition?

Zybex - Rating and Rating10 are both set as Integer, but the reason why they are probably not presented in the "Paste Tags" list probably down to the number of places they can be Altered/Editd along with the fact that they are usually presented as Images and not Raw Data.

But the OP is refering to a field/tag called "rating+" since that is a non-standard tag could be the reason why it is not listed.


As far as the "gere" tag is concerned I've never had a problem when it's been among a group of tags I'm using the command+c and command+shift+v combination.

Hence why I asked how it's defined. Custom user fields are normally listed.

I'm reviving this thread because I now realize I never responded to zybex's questions (although this information should be available to anyone since this is a factory field): Name is "Rating+" and Edit type is "Ten stars". I confirm that the issue persists in the latest version of MC (31).

I now notice that something similar happens with the BPM field. It is also not pasted.

In both cases, the field is not even shown in the window that pops up when the Paste Tags command is run. In other words, one cannot even select whether to paste the tag by ticking the corresponding checkbox.

Rating+ is not a factory default field, you must have created it at some point. Select "show only user fields" in the filed manager to confirm that it shows up there. If the field is defined as a "calculated" field, it won't show up for Paste. Also check which "Flags" are enabled - if it's a "Video" field, it won't show up for Audio files (and vice-versa).

BPM however is a default field, and should show up for files with "media type = Audio".

Apologies—I must have created this field years ago, and then forgot about it.

I don’t think it’s a “calculated” field: the “calculated data” button is not selected. Here are the details:

Data type: Integer
Relational: Not relational
Edit type: Ten stars
Acceptable values: 1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9;10

Concerning BPM, it is not showing up with any of my audio files. Let me know if you need any additional information to reproduce the issue.

To me, it makes sense that BPM is not available.

The field is auto populated when you use the "analyse audio" tool, and, if that option is selected for auto import (I think it is set by default?), it would already be correctly populated?
