Is there anyway to make JRemote work in CarPlay?

It "works" in terms of showing up as the "Now Playing" source, and you can do simple things like next track, play/pause. But I agree with you... a full featured CarPlay app would be amazing.

Yes.  One of the challenges I had with it was needing to connect to media center on the phone app, but once done, I was able to use the Carplay UI.
