Hello-
I have used Media Center for about nine months now - and was always happy with the reliability. No more, unfortunately, and I am getting desperate:
Earlier on, I had to restart it maybe once a month. Now, I am at the point where I can’t even listen to an entire record anymore - no later than half an hour in, it just crashes, typically a few seconds before changing to the next track. I cannot find anything in the log file, I just don’t know anymore what to do…
When looking at the desktop of the computer, the only thing I can see is that the “Media Center server” icon in the system tray has disappeared.
My setup:
MC runs on a “headless” Windows PC: Windows 11, and MC is the only software installed on that machine, i.e., there is no other software that could interfere.
I have enabled the DLNA renderer, I have some output conversion settings changed (e.g. “always output 5.1” and “no upmixing and downmixing” etc.).
It is set to autostart the media server when booting the computer.
Getting my music in:
Music is stored on a Synology NAS, using MinimServer.
Media Center is set up as a (gapless) renderer in BubbleUPnP Server.
Controller is either the Linn software for iPad, or Lumin.
There has not been an update to the BubbleUPnP software since early April, but the problems started occurring much later.
What have I already done?
I have uninstalled and re-installed Media Center.
I have tried versions 29 (which always worked flawlessly) and 30, various versions, (but not 31 because I don’t have the paid license for it).
I have completely re-installed Windows 11 - and then re-installed the last version of MC30 - and immediately had the problems.
I am just not sure anymore how I can get my reliable renderer working again reliably.
