What if you select the new extra channels method in options?

actually not same, "extra channels" looks broken

* changing the extra channels option changes the channels in analyser to X1, X2.... Xn
* using this option appears to mean order channels has no impact
* stop playback, turn off extra channels, start playback.... analyser still shows X1, X2....Xn
* kill all the processes and restart, now we're back to only showing 3 channels for 2.1

so basically for 2.1, both new and old are broken but new is unusable whereas old just has a bad analyser

when not in the new extra mode, have realised it is showing traces, they were just off screen (i.e. too low level to be visible)

however the extra channels are now shown in the top bar (which lists the channels) which then makes you think the channels are not just silent, they're simply not present

it's another example of how not being able to choose the y axis range (and choose which channels to display) makes the analyser view so much less useful than it could be, it should be such a handy feature but it's so badly hobbled by some basic missing features that you're often better off not bothering with it.
