« on: November 10, 2023, 06:03:29 pm »

Hi,
Is there any any easy way to move my recording rules from one JRiver PC to another PC?

Thanks Jay

Best practice would be to do a library BACKUP on the source machine. Copy the resulting zip file onto the destination machine. Do a library RESTORE on the destination machine using the zip file. Be aware this copies everything, not just the record rules.

I do recall you can view an XML of the record rules of a given machine at the following location:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 31\Library\tvrecording.xml

But I have no idea if doing a copy/paste of that xml file from one machine to another will function properly.

Thanks tzr!  I had no idea Library back ups caught TV Recording Rules.  Super simple!
