My friend has a Panasonic SA-UX100 sound system and demonstrated how he can make a song sound  “ROCK”, “POP”, “AFRO BEAT”, “ARABIC”, “PERSIAN”, “INDIA BASS”, “DANGDUT”, “MALAY POP”, “ELECTRONICA”, “REGGAETON”, “SALSA”, by pressing eq button on remote. I see there are some presets in  JRiver for Rock, Theatre Hall etc.

Is there anyone who knows what frequencys have to be boosted cut to create Indian / Persian / Salsa style sound output in JRiver?

I would have thought you would have to change the rhythm not just boost or cut some frequencies to achieve that.

I have looked at various vst3 plugins and have not had much luck.

Bard tells me I need to slow tempo down, and I have read I need to increase high frequencys for persian sound.

I may also need to change pitch.

Tempo and Pitch have their own menu under DSP.

The quest continues.
