I request that the ability to turn pane tagging off all the time be added.
I have never nor will I ever will use it, and I am probably not the only one.
Right now, the only thing you can set it to is "keep it enabled".
Having those boxes pop up whenever you select a track or an album is VERY annoying.

I found it very annoying too, and discovered how it stop it from ever popping up a long time ago.  The reason you still see it is because in addition to deselecting the "Keep Pane Tagging Enabled" checkbox in Options/General/Advanced, you also have to deselect "Enable Pane Tagging" in the Customize View dialog (expand the advanced node) for all your Panes style views.

As you can see in the screenshot, I have multiple files selected yet there are no pane tagging checkboxes visible.
