JRemote Not Mirroring View
« on: September 24, 2024, 03:32:17 pm »

I setup JRemote to mirror a few views and it's showing two different albums with the same name, as the same album. MC desktop view isn't showing the albums like this. It correctly shows them as two different albums.

The view shows albums, sorted by date of import.

All the remotes do this, and have always done it. If you have two albums with the same name the remotes show them together even when a similarly defined view within MC can separate them. The problem is most likely with what MC sends to the remotes, and is not really a bug in JRemote itself. An analogous problem is that when you assign more than one genre to an album a genre view in the remotes will show the album in the first genre only. I love the ability to set up custom views in MC and in the remotes but the API or whatever the remotes use to retrieve info from MC needs a little attention.
