Remote Access in Sequoia [Solved]
« on: October 14, 2024, 03:38:49 pm »

Has anybody seen successful in accessing remotely (i.e. from outside of local network) since upgrading to Sequoia?  I log in remotely to both JRiver and just my computer in general via another method and I cannot get in, and have spent enough time reading around and troubleshooting so far that I am at a loss (yes, I've checked the usual share settings, remote log in, etc etc).

Anybody have any insight?

I've looked at the firewall.  In theory I shouldn't have to disable it as these apps (JRiver included), are toggled on for incoming connections, but I have also tested turning it off entirely and that still doesn't work.  If there is something here I'm missing I'm all ears.  Thanks for the reply.

Does Sequoia enforce any sort of VPN-like functionality like Private Relay or anything like that?

For as much deep digging as I did, was not looking right in front of me.  Upon the Sequoia update it changed my IP.  Repointed and now the problem is solved!
