Import is reversing slashes in the Library

There might be other things not working, so please let us know if you trip over anything.  Not sure what created the other slashes.

I figured out a little more on why the slashes are reversed, but don't know how to fix it.  I think it is a combo of a soft setting in the Samsung T7 Shield and how MC reacts to that setting.

- The external SSD drive I am using was attached to an Id.
- Now the external SSD is plugged into a PC
- The slashes are oriented correctly when viewed in Windows explorer
- When I changed the view from normal Windows to show slashes, a dialogue box displays underneath showing the id even though the SSD is now attached to the PC.
- MC import config shows the SSD as drive D with the proper slash orientation
- MC changes the slashes when it imports probably because "something" is telling it the SSD is still attach to the id thus thinking it is Linux.
- I cannot find any settings on the SSD to change though there must be one.

Images attached show the above text because "a picture is worth...."
Image MC 1 shows MC Import Settings
Image MC 2 shows Windows Explorer on the PC and the weird dialogue box with the id
Image MC 3 shows selecting the folder for import in MC
Image MC 4 shows the MC Import Summary and the slashes now changed to Linux format.

Hope someone knows how to make a setting change on the SSD external drive so it stops sending confusing messages to connected devices and apps telling them it is connected to a Linux device.

Look at the platform.jmd file in your library. It sounds like it's not correct.

Indeed, you are correct. It says "[Platform]=Linux"

What should it say?  Can I edit it in Notepad and save changes?

Thx!

If you're on Windows, it should say Windows. I guess this sort of issue could happen if you restore a MC library backup created in MC for Linux in MC for Windows.

If you edit that file, make sure MC is completely closed first then apply the change.

Yep, as mentioned above I moved my library and the attached external SSD off an Id to a PC.  Now that I've changed the platform.pmd file all my new imports should be ok.

So, question at this point - though everything works OK right now, I've got a library that a vast portion has a file location with the slashes going the wrong way.  Is there a way to do a mass change to correct this without losing other info like ratings, playlists, number of plays, etc?
