Trailers Not Working - "There is nothing to play" message
« on: December 19, 2024, 05:56:45 pm »

Is anyone else having issues with playing trailers in Theater View or Standard View?

Either nothing happens at all in standard view or I get the "There is nothing to play" message in Theater View. I am running the latest version of MC 33. Trailers as of a few weeks ago were working fine and then I noticed they stopped working suddenly. I confirmed that the webmedia links are tagged for each movie, and that they correspond to the correct trailer in YouTube. I tried deleting the youtube folder in App Data, which forced MC to reinstall the components, but that sill did not help. I also did a complete reinstall of MC, except for registry keys. I also tried doing this from another laptop with MC 33 installed as a client to the library server on the computer in question, and it sill would not play. I also confirmed that my firewall is not the problem.

Any ideas?

YouTube moved the goalposts, again.

I've begun sourcing trailers to keep locally, but that's a job and a half in itself. They are not easy to find.

Good to know. I didn't see anyone else post it so wasn't sure if it was something about my PC or network being the issue.
