Problem with multi-channel output after update [solved]
« on: January 16, 2025, 01:49:55 pm »

Hello everyone

I, using the convolution engine, use JRiver as a crossover, as well as a player, in my stereo system.
And everything was working fine, until yesterday...
Yesterday I updated from version 32 to 33, and a big problem appeared (for me...)
If I use version 32, I have 6 channels in output (as expected by the settings)
If I use version 33 I only have 2 channels in output (with the same settings)!!!
I really think that something has changed in JRiver regarding the order of the channels...
Why?
Can you put things back to the way they were in version 32, please  ;D ? ? ?

Many thanks and Best regards!!!

Make sure you have 6 channels selected in Output Format. You might share a screenshot of that.

Thanks.

RL and RR are normally 7.1 not 5.1.

OK I will control...
But...
Maybe "RL and RR are normally 7.1 not 5.1"... but... in MC32 it works, and in MC33 it doesn't work!!!
why ?
Is this change necessary ?
Well...
Then publish a table with a correspondence "MC32 channels > MC33 channels", please...
Otherwise, if it wasn't necessary, why change something that works?

Today I was trying to figure out what the new channel mapping was and after making a few changes I noticed that everything started working again :o!!!
I know it's nonsense... but now, with the same settings as a few days ago, everything works :D!!!
 ?...Computer mysteries... ?
Have a great weekend, and thanks for your answers!!!
