I have pictures with no latitude and longitude listed. I can look in File Explorer or another app that shows gps tags and nothing is there. But if I copy the lat and long from a similar picture using MC (by that I mean I copy the fields within MC), they show up fine in MC, but not in an EXIF viewing app, like File Explorer or EXIFTool. It's weird, because MC will show the newly added GPS tag and will even show the picture on the map using the 'Locate on Google Maps' tool in MC. But if I go to any other tool, like IrfanView, and view the EXIF data, the GPS fields are non-existent. It seems as if MC is not tagging the coordinates in a true EXIF-compatible manner.

I saw discussions about tagging, but nobody seemed to address this issue. Hope I didn't miss a thread somewhere!
