Here are more Options dialog items with the wrong icon:
- Audio\Advanced\Configure input plug-in…
- Audio\Advanced\Test output (will save settings)… This should probably be a button - no icon seems correct to me.
- Burning\Drives\Redetect… This should probably be a button - no icon seems correct to me.
- File Location\Conversion Cache\ All three subitems show a pop up icon, but all three are should be menu icons
- Services\Hulu\Manage Hulu account…
- Services\Interface plug-ins\Manage interface plug-ins…
- Services\Last.FM\Manage Last.FM account…
- Services\Twitter\Manage Twitter account…
- TheaterView\Appearance\Theme
It depends on the rule. Which rule to apply is up to JRiver, but by my OP definition 1), the following lead directly or indirectly to a popup of some kind, or contain a popup as a submenu option, so I suggest they just keep their top level popup icons as they are:
- Audio\Advanced\Configure input plug-in…
- File Location\Conversion Cache\ (all 3)
- Services\Hulu\Manage Hulu account…
- Services\Interface plug-ins\Manage interface plug-ins…
- Services\Last.FM\Manage Last.FM account…
- Services\Twitter\Manage Twitter account…Change the rule to more like "a dropdown is a dropdown, no matter what it contains", then yes, some of these might need fixing.
Agree this needs a fix:- TheaterView\Appearance\ThemeAgree these don't "lead" to a popup (AFAICT) or dropdown menu, so a button might help:
- Audio\Advanced\Test output (will save settings)…
- Burning\Drives\Redetect… But if some some kind of confirming response is added, then their current popup icons would be OK for me. A good example is "
Audio > Test output (will save settings)...". While this is effectively a button, it has a clear confirming response (whether pass or fail) so a popup icon can work.
