I would like to delete some tracks from the iPod. I am using MJ8 without problems but I cannot find a way to delete files. Do I have to upgrade to MM9 for this or is there a way that I have not found in MJ8? I would like to stay where I am for now.

Right-click on the files and choose "Delete". If you are within a Playlist, this will only delete the file from the Playlist. Otherwise, it will delete the file.

The directory for the ipod under handhelds does not show any files, it just shows the directory name like this:


G:\ (ipod)
Artists
Albums
Genres

And it shows the actual artists or albums under each category, but it never shows any tracks on the track window. If I double click on a folder it just says "Please select the items to play". There is nothing to right click on.

This is with MJ8 and Plugin Ipod 3.0.38.

The transfers to the iPod worked just fine.

When you click on "G:" you do not see any files listed in the right pane?

If not, can you right-click on G: and make sure "Show all files" is selected.

No, no files show with the versions that I have. I redownloaded the plug in and still the same.  

let me know if I can provide more info to debug this. I know that the 'synch' will not work on MJ8, but delete should?

More testing shows that the 'show all files' function does not work. the 'show all files in queue' does.

Would you consider moving to MC? The iPod plug-in may not be compatible with MJ for much longer.

MC9 is way too unstable for my taste. I dont need to be a beta tester. MJ8 works great for me for everything I want to do and I dont need anything else. I will use music match for the ipod.
