The next build of MJ9 better be amazing.

The suspense is killing me. ;)

I was just thinking the same thing.  It's been a whole week.

Well on Tuesday, we pulled the boat out of the water.  This sounds easy, but you have to take the mast down, tie it up, remove some of the stuff on the boat, then attach a hook to a big eye-bolt down in the cabin and use the crane to pull the whole mess 15 feet out of the water in order to get the keel to pass over the back of the trailer.  It's heart pounding stuff.

Then today, Matts' brother called.  He got the day off or something and decided to come up to the Cities (we include St. Paul to be nice) to bother Matt.  He called a couple times, tried to call collect because his cell phone battery was dead (Matt said, "no thanks") and when Matt left around 1:00, he said, "tell him I'm at home".

Then we spent a day fooling around with RealOne problems and another couple of days with John Gateley and Matt fooling around with something cool that maybe, possible, should let us identify tracks without CD's, and there you are -- it's Thursday night.

Tomorrow for sure.  I think we have 8.0 nailed down now, so Nikolay and John Thompson will move over to 9.0.  John has a new CD burning method pretty much done.

Steve has the ipod cracked and is just polishing it up.

Yaobing made a "giant leap" for JRiver about 10 days ago and has a DirectX filter that can write and read TV.  This is the foundation of our promise of "TiVo-like" functionality.  It's moving faster now.

And then there is SlimMp3.  Bob's on it.

And, we have a secret weapon.

This all sounds great Jim and you guys sound like a great company to work at. If I lived in the states I think I'd be sending in my Resume on a daily basis trying to get a job with you guys :)

Wow.  Just... wow.  Jim, that post just blew me away.

I mean, I've seen a lot of interaction between the MJ staff and us users in the past... kinda took it for granted.  But I've never seen such a display of outright coolness as what I just read.  Maybe I'm just new, but I can't think of any company that I've ever spoken with that would take the time to give a status report like that... it really makes you guys shine, and I thank you.

Three cheers for da crew!  I can't wait to get my hands on Steve's iPod plugin!  :buckets o' drool:

PS -- rubber chicken == funny!  ;D ;D

Rubber chickens aside, the last thing that really caught my eye was Matt referring to burner options that would 'own Nero'. You guys gonna leak something (hint), or make us wait like drooling fiends?

I have to learn to shut up.
