Here's what's new:

1) Added ability to specify own hotkeys (check GetPlayingNow.ini for simple instructions)
2) Added hotkey to temporary enable/disable popup
3) Added skinned ratings
4) Added skin image to show when thumbnail can't be found/loaded.
5) Added option to not to show the popup if the currently playing track is a video.
6) Fixed issue where sometimes the popup window was being hidden when you minimized MC

Check the GetPlayingNow.ini and the default skin config file for a description of each of the entries.

As I have mentioned before the setup will overwrite the Default skin, so if you have made any changes you had better back them up.

This is really nice.

Only one problem... No matter what I specify in the config.ini, it always shows the same rating icon. And I can't even see where it's finding that ico file. It's nowhere in the GetPlayingNow (sub)folder(s).

I'm sure I must be doing something wrong, though.

Does it only accept ico files? Or will a png or jpg work too?

Yes it's really nice.
I only installed and fired up MC and gpn shows the stars as it should.

But I need a lesson how to make it looks like NightLife when I use that skin and so on.

My bad ... I screwed up the setup.

Download the new one.

You will see that there is a Ranking.ico. The program only accepts icons as that's the best for drawing.

Awesome. I got my PixOS skin all updated (with a new background, too) and it's looking really sweet with the rating stars.

Only one suggestion about the ratings. Any chance you could offer some sort of spacing setting? So we could put a pixel or two in between the icons? Right now, mine all touch and I wish they would space out a tiny bit. I tried just making my icon a little narrower, but it still crams them right up next to each other.

Also, any chance you could support png's (and their transparencies) in the missing thumbnail?

I'll add a separator entry in the config file in the next version.

Also re png's, I've never used them before but I'll check it out to see if it's simple to do.

Some requests for 1.0.0.6 pls

- BPM track token support pls

- allow (L, C, R) alignment for the rating icon

- still notice the popup starting to appear from the bottom of the task bar, is it possible to make it appear from the top of the task bar instead. Its a little nitpick , but i think it would look nicer.

I'm on Win2k btw and my task bar is aligned horizontally on the bottom.

Hasn't bothered me, that's why I haven't changed it. But I'll look at it after I get 1.0.0.6 out.

It should be in the skin folder. But I screwed an earlier 1.0.0.5 release and forgot to add it to the setup so you should download the new one.

And so I did. I copied the rating icon from Default to the Striped skin, but it didn't work

I must have missed something.

If you're taking a poll, add me to the side that would prefer it to *not* slide over the taskbar. Maybe it's just that I'm used to Messenger, but I'd prefer is starts at the top of the taskbar.
