MFC-based ActiveX Control Plugins broken in MC
« on: June 27, 2003, 09:21:42 pm »

Hi guys,

I've run up against a brick wall. I'm developing a plugin for MC9 and unlike the last one that I did (which was ATL-based), this one is based on an MFC control.

MC loads the plugin properly, the problem is that when MC goes to display a plugin, it seems to reset the parent window of the plugin to the pane on the right hand side -- however it is doing this, doesn't work properly with MFC controls.

I even went back to try with a brand new MFC base control (in Visual Studio .Net) and same result.

Is it possible for someone at J River to look into this? Would it be possible not to play with a control's parent window and simply show/hide the control?

Many thanks in advance for any help,

Jonathan

p.s. I can email the demo plugin if someone at J River would like to take a look.

Thanks again,

Jonathan

Hi,

If you want you can email me a copy of the sample so I can check it over.

I have played with ATL/MFC plugins and I have not seen this.

Send it to jamie@jdnet.co.uk if you want.
