Since The New Media Center \ MJ9 Auto Saves To A Media File When You Pull Out Of A PlugIn.

MJ8 You Could Just Save To The Database Without Saving To The MP3 Etc...

Could There Be A Way To Save Only To The Database And Not Allowing MJ To Also Save To The File?

There's still the option to "Update file tags" in Options -> General

Also, DB fields will allow you to customize whether or not they get saved in the tag.

How Can You Control This With In A Program.

Can I Change This In Code?

[X] Save To Database And Save To Media File

You Could Do This In MJ8 To Allow A User To Select A Option To Protect The Data In The Media File And Only Make Changes In The Database.

Besides It Is Faster To Scan A Few 1000 Files And Make Changes To The Database And Never Once Change The Media File Tag.

But we'll make a DB field SDK interface.  It'll let you make fields and specify whether they should get saved to the tag or not.
