Not binding
« on: August 27, 2003, 05:12:36 am »

I have been trying to get the Media Center Server to work with my TIVO. I have tried just about every combination of settings, but cannot get the Media Center to work. The TIVO Media Center seems to always come up on the screen instead of the Media Center Server options.

I looked at the Media Center server screen on the computer, and this is what I see:

08/27/03 08:52:41 - cannot bind
08/27/03 08:52:44 - TiVo HTTP listener failed
08/27/03 08:52:44 - TiVo HTTP ready for connections

I think the problem is with the "cannot bind" part, but I don't know what to try next. Any helpwould be appreciated!

It means that something else is using the port you're trying to run Media Server on.  Try changing to another port.

I have tried changing the settings to connect with the TIVO server using Port 80 and get the folllowing display on the Meadia Server:

08/27/03 09:40:14 - sharer starting
08/27/03 09:40:14 - Initializing server.
08/27/03 09:40:14 - Server initialized
08/27/03 09:40:14 - sharer ready to accept connections
08/27/03 09:40:14 - Started auto response thread on port 5556.
08/27/03 09:40:14 - TiVo HTTP ready for connections

However, my TV still only displays the TIVO Home Media Center published items.
