MC 9.1 requires Win98 SE or later.

Too many Windows APIs require at least SE for us to easily support older systems.

Sorry.

In closing Media Center has worked fine on Windows 98. I can understand minimum requirments for new customers but I was appealing for a way that I could possibly upgrade my already registered Media Center to the release version. P.S what is a MSDos.

MS-DOS = Microsoft Disc Operating System

Basically, it was the operating system that ran on PCs before Microsoft came out with Windows. I believe every version of Windows up to, but not including XP, also has DOS running underneath it. You can access it by choosing Restart in MS-DOS mode from your Shut Down menu.
