Thumbnail preview of video files ?
« on: October 16, 2003, 04:14:26 pm »

List style -> Thumbnails
Works correctly if video files are stored on hard disk

Why this feature does not work if files are on CD ?

CD is imported to library but NO preview of video files :(((((((

I have installed latest MC 9.1.279 build.

Thanks for explanation.

Thanks

I have tested this on  MC 9.1.279 and latest 9.1.286 build.

If this is something with seting I would apreciate advice.

Hello Bobrock,

I am sorry nobody has responded, but perhaps, like myself they have not had this situation.
I have never tried this as all my files are on my hard drive.

I could however venture a guess:

The only other thing I have found regarding this is that some video files generate a thumbnail of the first frame, often showing the title (often times this shows a blacked out thumbnail as the first frame was black/blank), or an icon indicating the file type and no thumbnail image is generated at all (find this with mpg files for example).

I do not know if this helps at all, but thought I'd at least give it a try.

This should be fixed next build.

Please let us know, and thanks for helping.
