web-remote - I forgot everything
« on: December 20, 2002, 06:48:57 am »

I had to do a full windows reinstall yesterday.

I previously had the MJ web-remote working.  Now I can't figure out where to start getting it installed and configured.

Where do I download it, and how do I install it?

I can't find anything about this in the help.

It's an "interface" plug in.  You should be able to get it from the web site or open the plug-in manager, select Interface and go to the interface plug-ins page from there.  It will automatically install when you click on the download link.

After it's downloaded, go back to the plug-in manager and "start" the plug-in.  It will now appear in the main navigation tree.   Select it there and you can set the port.

Thanks - it's running now.

One more question.  What do I type in my browser to get it to run?  localhost something??

If you're on the same machine...

http://localhost:port/

set port to whatever port it's listening on.

Thanks - web remote now works again.

Of course I still have to re-set up my network for it to really work with my wireless pda.  That was very difficult the first time....
