CD play/rip HELP!
« on: October 30, 2003, 08:15:00 am »

I can't stop CD play after starting in MC.  The stop button is ghosted and even when I close MC the CD continues to play.  I brought up task manager and no other device is listed.  I have no idea what program is playing the CD!

I copied one track off of a CD and it ripped with no problem but when I went to play the file MC was unable to play.  I tried RealPlayer and it couldn't play the file either.

I never had any problems with MJ8.....................

Could you post your system info here (from the MC help menu).
When you say you ripped a track and then couldn't play it, do you mean the ripped track on the computer hard drive wouldn't play, or do you mean the CD track wouldn't play?

Problem solved - had copy settings for the wrong drive - D instead E.

I changed the file save directory to another location and now can play back copied files.

Maybe this will help others with similar problems.
