Internet radio question
« on: November 13, 2003, 12:43:38 pm »

I found a station I would like to add to Media Center, and I have the streaming url correct (I believe).

When I tell media center to open that url, it tells me

"Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files.

Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location."

But if I paste the same url http://cc.liquidviewer.com/kdge/playerframe.php?fname=http://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/kdge directly into a browser window, it will play fine.

Any ideas?

I do not think that you have a correct stream address.
The one I use for the mp3 stream at RadioParadise looks like this:
http://205.188.245.131:8048/~~~stream~~~.mp3

It looks like yours is a link to a player page of some sort.

That could certainly be.

If you click on the link above, you will be taken to a page that will start streaming the radio broadcast, however, it won't play in MC.

Is there some way to find the correct streaming address, so it will play in (and can therefore be added to) Media Center?

The station's web address is www.kdge.com

Thanks
