is there anyway to get MC to give Up VU Data?

Not through the MJAutomation interface, that I know of.

However, there is a display plugin interface (available at the MC Dev Zone) that gives up that kind of data.
If you're uber l33t, you could write a display plugin that passes on audio data to an interface plugin. But then you wouldn't have a nice display plugin. But it would be cool.

I've asked for JRiver to make the 'peak level meter' or gain reading shown in the DSP Studio available on the main interface but no response.  I want to see if I am peaking out and clipping even if my DSP Studio is not open.
