CD Labeler
« on: November 29, 2002, 10:35:34 am »

I created my first cd Label with track info and cd title then saved it for
later use. When I reopened the saved file I discovered that I could not
edit the text in the CD Title text box. Is this a bug or should you be able
to go in and edit the text in a text box. Also I discovered I was also not
able to add a new text box, but I was able to add a donut text box. Could
someone clue me in as to weather they are able to edit the text in
previously saved cd labels. I went back and tried the editing features with
the donut feature. This seems to work fine, that is I can add a donut and
insert test and even go back and edit it. But I cant edit any text in a
text rectangle frame. I cant even add a new text rectangle frame. if I try
to edit text in a rectangle frame the edit window in the editor is grayed
out and I can not modify the text in that window. Other features of CD
labeler seem to work ok.

Select the "Text type:" drop down list and choose the "Custom" option. Then you should be able to edit the text. The other options ("Track listing", "Creation date", etc.) are not editable because they are automatically updated.

OK thats half the problem.  I still can not create a new text box.  I can only create a donut text box.  They should work the same but retangular text box is non functional.

It's probably just a little confusion on how to create a rectangular box. For a donut shape, you just click once in the label area and a default donut is created which you can then modify by dragging the "handles". For a rectangular box, you click in the label area, then hold the button down and drag out the box to the size you desire. Then you can modify the shape by dragging the handles as with the donut shape.
Does that work for you?

Thank you.  Yes that works fjust fine and now I feel so stupid.

Now if only someone would answer my post about the sound recorder input problem, dated Dec 1, all would be great.

thanks again
