Hi,
Is there a way to change the directory structure from artis\album to just filenames in one directory for existing entries? What I mean is, as I usually only rip 1 or 2 tracks from each of my cds, it seems a bit pointless to have this directory structure. I know I could do it manually, which would take a while, but is there another way of doing it and still retaining library info re the 3 user defined fields?
Any ideas welcome. Sorry if this has been asked before.

In the Plus version tag studio

select file, right click, properties

rename fuction.

you can change the rules

in media center this is easyer to locate and also has some bug fixes.

Could you create a new folder on the same drive and then set the options up to import from the old folder to the new folder with new directory structure?

nope, but you can do the renamed via MJ, then once its complete move it into a new folder
