MC does not display titles properly
« on: February 17, 2004, 04:44:15 am »

Am using Media Center 9.1.316.

MC is not displaying text fields properly if they contain characters in the ASCII range 130-255 **AND** if the audio file is an .MPC file with an APE Tag 2.00. My files that are .MP3, .Ogg or files with ID3v1 tags do not have this problem. Another player, dBpowerAMP audio player, has no problem displaying the extended characters from my .MPC files w/ APE tags. Please advise how I can get MC to read/display APE Tags w/ extended characters properly.

Thanks,
Ernie.

Hi Ernie,

Just to give you a clue, the titles (song and album names) display perfectly with all my mpc/APE2  files. Lot of them have accentuated letters (é,è,à,ë,ö,ç,ü,etc.) and fall in the 128-255 code range.

I'm using MC 9.1.317 under WinXP (french localized version)

Bonne journée !
