FTP Upload not working?
« on: February 27, 2004, 04:29:12 am »

I havent tried this for quite some time, but I cant get the web/ftp upload to work in v10.0.79 (uploading photos to a website). Everything appears to work OK, and the progress bars move smoothly up to 100%, but then I get an MC  dialog '0 of x files transferred'. There is no other information given.

AFAIK my ftp settings in MC are correct. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Lee,
I think you found a bug.

Thanks,

Jim

Now I'm not sure.  It took some time to complete but it did work.

I wonder if the progress bar isn't updating correctly.

If you want to try again, there are two steps and two sets of results shown.  The first is for any resizing.  The second is for the uploads.  Try turning resizing off as a test to see what you get.

I get the first step 'resized x of x' etc OK. I cant see how to turn off resizing though.

If the remote folder doesnt exist does MC create it? I tried both scenarios without success, but that was my first thought.

Second thought was my firewall - but its set to allow all outbound traffic - still no joy. This network/port stuff is mostly over my head, but I just used (the default?) port 21 in the MC ftp dialog.

Ill keep trying, if you have any further suggestions.

Bumpety bump...

Im getting the same behaviour in v10.0.80.  Ill report this there, if you consider it a bug.

Otherwise, any advice appreciated.
