recreat the mj look and feel ?

I keep 500 + giga of ape files in my library.
mc seems to be having probs with the size of the library.
when i am trying to use mc i truly miss the media library opening to artists names wich i can click to reveal the albums wich can be clicked to reveal the songs.
as it opens in mc it shows every song of each album !!! fifty stevie wonder concerts listed by songs are just too much to scroll through !!!!!!! I cant seam to understand the interface in options help !!!!!!!

I think something else is going on. Though 500 GB is large, your actual library file count is what counts...which is what? (and there are those here with 10's of thousands of files and even a couple 100 thow). Once the file is imported, it shouldn't have to write to file again. Post your sys info from Help>System Info.

Note: On my machine...544 flacs use 14 GB so I'm guessing you have around 20k of apes.

edit: you should post (or link to) a screen shot of your MC.

To recreate MJs Artist Album structure in the tree you need to set up a view scheme with Artist and Album as the nodes and check the populate tree option.  This will allow you to click an artist and show their albums in the tree...

Consider moving up to MC10. You can do so much more with it (such as a view scheme in line with what you want to see per the 2nd half of your post).

Backup your MJ license/library, uninstall MJ, install MC (10.0.100...1st or second thread down off Media Center forum page), restore your library. If you like it...buy it.
