Smartlist question
« on: March 29, 2004, 08:08:28 am »

I am hoping someone can help me.

I have ripped my collection just recently.  Before I knew what I was doing I had removed the smartlist to add album covers to my collection.
Now I would like to do this but can't figure out how to create a smarlist to do this.  How do you do it or better yet is there a program that
will do it for you???

Thanks,
ED

1. Create a new smartlist called Missing Cover art or something like that. To do this, right click on "Playlists" in the tree, and select "Add Smartlist". When the Build New Smartlist window opens, give the smartlist a name, then select the Advanced button.

2. In the Smartlist Rule field, type:
[Media Type]=[Audio] [Image File]=[]

This smartlist displays all audio files that have no cover art.

Now to automatically get the cover art over the internet, you can manually select all the files, or select a few at a time, right click and select Image > Get From Internet.

Or, right-click on the playlists option in the tree, and select 'Add Smartlist' (or hit F9), and it'll bring up a dialog box, the bottom choice says 'Smartlist Rule:', hit the dropdown arrow, and select 'Audio -- Task -- No Images'  It will do it for you, automatically.

A perfect reason NOT to donate your body to science. There was something on Discovery where they were studying the decomposition of real human corpses in an outdoor setting...complete with time-lapse photography...eshhh!...cremation for me.

Finallly, someone noticed. It's felt like I've been being pulled from all sides.

Is that better? :-\

Five bucks says no one can figure out mine. The red sign is the important one. I snapped the photo on a busy street (in a GOOD section) of Tokyo. If you can make out the words than you're either WAAAAY to close to my bumper, or you've stood on that actual corner. Or maybe you've patronized the establishment in question? Yikes!

Boy, you learn something new every day. I had no idea it was a clothing store. I thought it was some hedonistic lounge for soused occidentals.

I was in Shibuya (as shown by the cool little map on their web site), cruising around between meetings, and I spotted the perfect photo opp approaching.

Now, you have to realize that nearly every corner of nearly every building (even in some of the best parts of town) liberally advertise all manner of intimate services. So I saw this Sadistic Action sign and didn't think anything of it. But coming down the sidewalk toward me were two nice, normal-looking, young Japanese girls, wearing their school uniforms and eating ice cream cones. I though, "Wow, what cool contrast," and managed to snap at just the right moment:

Then of course I zoomed in on the saucy signage:

I've got lots of weird shots from Tokyo. What a crazy, awesome city. Makes Manhattan look like some Canadian backwater like Montreal :-) . I found the place below at the big Virgin multiplex the first or second night I was there on this particular trip. If you knew me, you would find it profoundly fitting:

Yes, my travels to the Far East have broadened my horizons and taught me a great deal. Perhaps most importantly:

_Great_ story.  Thanks.

Is that:

"Don't forget woman"

or

"Don't forget, woman"

Good question.
