MP3 length problem
« on: March 29, 2004, 05:39:33 pm »

8. Fixed: MC could wrongly determine the length of some VBR MP3's without a Xing header. (use Library Tools > Update Library (from tags) to correct)

Fantastic.  Just been through my dodgy MP3s and it's corrected the lot.  Thanks ever so much. :)

Does this mean that MC will automatically detect these correctly in future, or will we still have to manually correct the odd file?

Not mine.  I just deleted and tried to reimport.  MC won't even import it now.  I can right-click on the file in explorer, and use MC, import, and it still won't import.  If I right-click and select 'play in Media Center', it plays fine, shows my tag info, and rating, but won't import, and the length and bitrate are still wrong.

Matt, did you get me email?  Andreas saag - release the groove.mp3?

Did you find a problem with it?  Windows shows the correct info, but MC does not. :-[

Thanks

No.  Thank you.

PS, the guy I bought my house from did a crappy job re-roofing it.  Can you fix that in the next build also?

If not, I can wait 'til 10.1, if necessary. ;)
