Auto-created playlist on MP3 CD
« on: November 15, 2002, 09:06:49 am »

Right now I'm just wondering if this is a bug or an inaccuracy in the help files.

According to the MJ help files ('Create (Burn) CDs') when I burn a MP3 CD it should automatically create a playlist callled - simply enough - 'playlist.m3u'. I've burned two MP3 CDs so far and neither one has created this file.

Can't someone at least say whether the playlist is created for them or not?

It always works for me. It is placed in the root directory of the CD. You may not see it in Media Jukebox, but it should show up in windows explorer.

I've looked through Windows Explorer, and I have it set to show hidden and system files, yet I still don't see any file. Do you have the same version of MJ as I do?

Well I'm currently running the beta 9 version, but I know it normally works in version 8 also.

I assume you're burning a "data" CD, right?

Just for kicks, try a different setting of the "use generic driver" checkbox and see if it makes a difference.
