As Cascius and i were working almost on the same things, we decided to put our work together.
And we have really much fun on realizing this Euro-American project.

Cascius was working on the graphics for the new skinning-feature and i did some more html/js-coding.

DJ and I are also open to suggestions regarding adding more layouts.
When doing so try to inculde the following info:

• Screen Resolution;
• Normal Mode vs. FullScreen
• Where do you want which box to appear and with which size
• Whether the tree list or the playing now list are apparent

Cool as always.  Since I'm eternally selfish I'll share some thoughts...

- the toggle buttons (image/vis) don't seem to work
- as cool as the JS buttons are, I'd still like an option for regular scrolling (with mousewheel if possible)

The code looks clean enough that when I have some time I can add the additional fields I want on my own.  Don't sweat it trying to make a big JS menu for selecting every possible combination.

A much bigger project that may not even be possible with this type of plugin is to read album metadata from a text file.  There would only be one .txt in each directory where there are music files, so scanning for the first one in the current file's path would be sufficient.  It would then be displayed on a tab alongside Bios, Notes, etc.  Since I'm probably the only person in the world interested in this feature, a simple pointer on where to begin looking in the SDK would already be more help than I deserve.

We'll need more info to figure out why you're haing this problem. (i.e. with which layout, what screen resolution, etc...)

There are some situations where it might be confusing though:

• in small3 layout, the cover art and vis box overlap one another. Therefore you cannot see the cover art if the vis is turned on
• in large 1 and large 2 layouts, the vis and cover art (large 2 only) are at the bottom of the frame and can only be seen if in Fullscreen mode or in playing now mode with the list minimized.

Hope this helps, otherwise give us more info.

We'll look into it. Can't promise anything.  :-\ It seems that MC controls the scroll wheel and the right mouse button. Therefore it might not be possible. We'll see.

As far as that .txt project, we already have a lot of functions we'd like to implement so don't count on it; or at least for now.

Is there a way to bring out another size that will stretch the whole width. There seems to be some wasted space on my screen. Also It be cool to get rid of the gap at the top.

Yes for both. We will bring out more layouts in the next releases.

We don't add anything to the vis. If it displays some text this comes from the vis itself.

Yes, you can change the sizes and positions.
They are in the layout-files (in the layout-directory).

My bad.  I'm using large 2.  Sure enough I see the vis if I go to full screen.  Even then the bottom is cut off (1280x960).  

I'm not a graphic designer so I can't suggest a better alternative; I'm sure you guys will come up with something.

hi to both dj and casius!!

DJ, i tried to look arounf the css files in the layout and it seems much more complex then the first version which i had no problems to change, is there a help file about the css file like before to explain what exatcly each line does? i basicly just want a template with one half as a big lyrics box (as much as the screen in 800x600) and in the seconf half of the screen album cover with track info in the bottom and Viz the rest of it,:like i said i dont mind changing it myself like before in the css file yet it seems complicated this time

another Q i have is if it will be possible to use the great new G-force plugin as Viz since it dosent sit in the normal MC viz place, it has amazing Viz and it would be great to combine them in the track info, just a thought

after using alans atagger i have a bunch of album reviews. they are currently stored under comment (which works fine on your work) but this now messes up in the updated dreamstate (plus) vis.

i use both and cant think of an easier way to display all the info i want and still have both work

As soon there is some time to write it we will provide a short-docu.

small request: what about adding an album review tab?

Maybe that this will come.

At the moment you could use the info-tab.

You just have to replace the 'TrackInfo_Insert(Info)' entry with the field-name of your review-field (something like 'TrackInfo_Insert(Review) ' in the 'index.html' within the multiinfo-directory.

We've asked for the permission to implement gforce, but no answer so far.

The documentation for the css-files will be included in the next version (hopefully this weekend).

I love the plugin! I have one request:

Is it possible to get a scrollbar in the lyrics window? I run on a laptop and the windows are too small to display all the lyrics.

Hi Zeltak!

As i said before, we asked for the permission to use G-force within our Info Template, but no response so far.

There should come a version where you can change the content of the panes very easy. But there is still some work to do.

Anyway, i hope we can fix the things it in the next time.
