Which files to save for backup?
« on: November 19, 2002, 12:25:58 am »

Hi friends,
I have a question about saving files. I want to save the files, where the playlists and the media library are stored.
It`s to prevent loosing data on a system crash.
Can somebody help me?
Sorry for grammar mistakes, but I am German and not as well as I should speaking and writing english.

Best wishes Robert

Hi Robert,
  • About MJ : MJ > Files > Library > Library Manager : Backup - It will save your MJ Database.
  • Backup you Registration file (if it's an old one - MediaJukeboxX.rrg) or write down your registration code (MJ > Help > About), so you can use it in case you need to restore MJ.
  • About your music files : either burn them on CD's, or store them on a differnt drive than your system (if you have more than one HDD.
