In configure display in playing now if I opt for auto-hide bars & re-size display - the PN window 'flashes'.

If I have auto-hide bard but NO re-size display - the problem disappears.

6. NEW: Theater View remembers it's position when switching to and from Standard View.
Great. This is a really handy feature.

BUG: Theatre view ignores non alphabetic album sorting. My sorting goes
Artist
Date(Year)
Album
Track #
So selecting an artist and pressing return in Mega-Me plays all their albums in chronological order.
Selecting the same artist in Theatre View and pressing Space plays the albums in alphabetical order. This happens even if I put a Year level in before Album.

BUG: Vis Studio - Cover art doesn't always change if OnEquation is set to something complicated. See this thread
This bug has existed since 8.0. Since I can't have a static image on my plasma (burn-in), and I can't animate cover art around the screen, I can't use cover art at all in my visualisations. Is there any chance of getting this fixed?

BUG: If I open a SWF file as a URL e.g.
http://www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/comics/pie.swf
it plays OK in MC, using Realplayer apparently. If I download the same SWF for offline play or faster loading, it plays fine in Real or IE but MC won't import or play it.

BUG: Aspect ratio control doesn't work for some Divx AVI's. This one for example
http://www.fen-net.de/walter.preiss/speedivx/glas2.avi
The video gets smaller, but doesn't change shape, I'm playing back with the latest Divx 5.11 codec

BUG: AVI's with subtitles applied by DirectVobSub don't have thumbnails generated for them.
To demonstrate this, download the above glas2.avi. Then download this file
http://www.cjdshaw.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/mj/glas2.srt
and put it in the same directory. You'll need to install DirectVobSub, downloadable here
http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/formats/vsfilter.shtml
If you then import glas2.avi, it should play with a subtitle, but may not have a thumbnail in MC.
Some people have not seen this, so it may be specific to Windows 2000, Divx 5.11 or something else in my system.
Interestingly, with subtitles applied, aspect ratio works again so this may be a limit of the Divx codec.

Currently, Theater View sorts like the tree does when you expand it -- always alphabetically. (with smart number handling)  Feel free to start a thread and rally the troops if you want this changed.

It's actually working as it should.  "TrackChanged" is only set for one frame after the track change.  If your component is off, it'll miss the flag.  You may be able to work around it by using a different method.

Thanks for your response, Matt. JLee and I have been trying to get around this one for a while but there doesn't seem to be much Vis Studio documentation. For example, what does ImageChangeEquation do? OnEquation seems to be the only field I can animate. If you have any suggestions on how to work around this, I'd be very grateful.

I raised this issue quite some time ago but it still exists.

Date (Day) and Date (Month) Library fields both get lost when converting format WAV -> APE.  I don't know about other conversions but in particular if I have WAV files imported, fill in Date (Day) and Date (Month) fields, then convert to APE, these fields get clobbered.

Minor, but annoying since I have a rather large collection of Live performances and I use Day/Month extensively.

2 BUGS:

1. Install does not remember some of the previous installations settings i.e: "Shell Integration"

2. Send to "Playlist" allows to send duplicate files, explanation: if a I got a very big (lets say favorites) playlists, sometimes I may forget that I already added a specific song to the playlist, so I add it again, then the problem is that playlists will show two entries for that song since it allows to add the same song several times.

Not a bug. It is intended to work so. Sometimes people like to repeat songs in playlists. There is a "Remove Duplicates" command. You should find it if you right click your playlist items.

NEED TO BE FIXED:

Current version doesn't have appropiate icons for "Album thumbnails" and "Detailed view" toolbar's buttons.

New buttons still have the same icons as List style.

Hello.

When a file doesn't have coverart and it's playing and the coverart visualisation is going, I add some coverart and flick back then forward to refresh the coverart vis. Sadly, the coverart vis doesn't update with the new coverart, but the rest do. Any chance of getting the visualisations reset when you modify coverart?

Cheers,

Scott.

Does anyone have crash problems when listening to streaming radio or streaming albums?  It seems to be becoming more frequent lately that when I am listening to an album I will get a 'pure virtual function error'.  I apologize if this is stated somewhere else; I could not find anything about this with any of the latest releases.  Thanks!

Interestingly, this is related to my question earlier in this thread. MC visualisations only check for cover art the first time they refresh after a track change. If the component is hidden or the cover art is missing, it won't work until the next track.
Matt: If "TrackChanged" actually checked if the image name had changed since the last time an Image component displayed, this would solve both our problems. Please?  :-\
