Unable to configure DVD playback
« on: May 11, 2004, 07:23:34 pm »

I finally gave up on TheaterTek (too many problems), and I uninstalled it.  Since the Sonic DVD filters are rated very high, I purchased and installed them.  Unfortunately, when I try to setup MC10 (build 134) for DVD playback I always get an error.

1 out of 3 DVD-Video streams failed to render properly
   - audio stream

After looking around on this forum, it was suggested that I try the free AC3Filter, so I did -- same problem.  My filter list is:

AC3Filter
Video Renderer
Overlay Mixer
Line21 Decoder
Sonic Cinemaster DS Video Decoder
DVD Navigator

Is this combination supposed to work?  I have no other decoders available, and I would like to avoid installing several others unless necessary.  I'm trying to keep my HTPC as clean as possible.

Note again, TheaterTek is no longer installed on this computer.

I was having similar problems on one of my computers, re-installing the WMP codecs solved it. There's another post on here where I've included links to them.
