I have tried to record a WEB radio station Stream. I can hear the station but when I
go to record it using the record function in media center I get an error message.
ERROR MESSAGE
Failed opening Wavein system.
The specified format is not suported or cannot be transalated. Use Capabilites function to detrimne the supported format.
Check these possible problems.
1. Missing or incorrelty configured sound card
. note I can record from my files on my hard drive
2. Sound Card dosen't handle 16 bit 44100 Stereo recording
Note It does
3. Another application is currently using the sound card's recording function
Note I do not have any audio programs running
4. The sound card is not full duplex and is currently being used for playback
Note. The sound card works fine when recording form my files

I have taken the recording input from the Audio in of my sound card. I feed it from my stereo record out directly to the lynx one audio card audio input.
When I use the standard windows recorder I can record the raidio stream ;while it is in the wav format it eats up drive space and I want to use media center and its abliilty to record using WMA encoding.
I am using Windows XP professional
can anybody help?
