How do i turn back on Auto Insert Notification?
« on: July 18, 2004, 08:35:09 pm »

Sorry if this has been asked before.  I tried a search on it, but didn't find what i was looking for.

When i did my first burn MC recommended turning auto insert notification off.

However, It has become more of a pain having to reboot my computer in order for my computer to recognize what's in the current drive.  I have Windows XP, how do i turn Auto Insert Notification back on?

Under XP, this can be a very easy process (right-click on CD in Explorer, choose Properties, and go from there) or a complicated process (registry hacks and Group Policy settings).

Just do a google search on "auto-insert notification XP" to find all the answers.

And there is no need to reboot your entire machine, you know.  Just hit F5 to refresh the view (of the CD), or if you want it to auto-run, then just right-click on the icon and choose "AutoPlay."   ::)  :P
