I am using the latest edition of Media Jukebox 8.0.  I just bought an IPod and am unable to upload music files to the IPod device.  When I plug in the IPod it shows up as an F: drive under "CD and handhelds" in the tree.  When I try to move files to the F: drive I get the following message:

"Your IPod was not detected.  Please check the Volume Label and then go to Tools>Plug-in Manger>Portable Devices>Configure and make sure your Volume Label matches this entry."

I don't know what a volume label is and cannot figure out how to make this work.

Please help.

Are you saying MJ does not support the ipod?  and to get ipod support I must upgrade to MC??

Because I don't need the whole media center, i am only using the music portion.  How much is the MC upgrade also?  I have MJ8.

Yes.  MC supports the iPod well.  MJ support is limited and older.
