MC11 Instructions (temporary)
« on: March 23, 2005, 07:07:15 am »

[EDIT -- MC Help inside the program should now be used first.]

Just starting a new thread where we can point to other threads that explain how new features in MC11 work.

Please feel free to add links or to write instructions.  They will be the basis for modifying the Help files.

Note that there may be more recent threads as time goes on, so if the thread looks old, please try a search for a newer one.

New Features and Improvements

CUE file playback support with sample-accurate MP3 seeking
Many Theater View enhancements
Animated Direct3D file browsing

Several memory and speed enhancements -- like database and skin unloading when minimizing MC
Much of MC's interface can be translated to other languages
Integrated database import and update with smart broken linking repairing, and other nice features

Preview mode to only play the intro of songs
Video CD playback support
Audio resampling uses Shibatch's high-quality SSRC filters

New Windows Media Package is Required

This is normally automatic as part of the MC11 install, but if your PC is not connected to the Internet, you'll have to manually download the correct version of WM.  Please see this thread for details:
