 I have searched through the posts but i don't think anyone has meantioned this one.

Lets assume i have a freshly restored (using the ipod updater software) ipod.  I connect it up and synch my songs from MC to the ipod and everything is fine.  I disconnect the ipod and all the songs are on my ipod.  But if i reconnect and disconnect again (i am unsure how many times this step is repeated or if it differs) all the playlists and songs are seemingly gone from the ipod menu.  

When i reconnect, MC says "Error reading iPOD database".  

However, all the files still exist in the iPod_Control/Music folder on my ipod.

The one strange thing i do notice is that the iPod_Control folder date modified field has changed to 23/4/2009 5:24am (and no there is nothing wrong with my system clock.

The only way i can find of fixing this is restoring the ipod using the ipod updater software again and resynching my tunes from MC. However the same problem inevitably occurs every time.

I'm not exactly sure when this problem started but i'm pretty sure it was on or after built 11.0.109, and still exists in the 11.0.117 build.

Anyone else experiencing this?

It appears something is corrupting your database when iPod is disconnected from the PC. Do you have any applications installed that are automatically accessing the iPod when it is connected (i.e. iTunes)?

No one else has reported this yet.

I've used the last few builds for the past 5 nights with my iPod, no problems.

itunes is not installed... i'm doing more testing to try and narrow down the cause

You also may want to check the option to dismount the ipod when MC exits.

The Ipod screen should be showing the checkmark on it's display when you take it off the dock.

I'm getting the same problem now. I had to initialize with the Apple software and reload.
